I don't think it's a "what if" anymore, it's already what's happened. Just look at content, customer service, basic analytics, hiring, etc — we're already there. We're getting the commoditized "good enough" at scale, and because of that, I think there's a growing premium the stuff that can't be averaged: taste, judgment, weird specificity, or an actual point of view.
